Nice jam entry. I appreciated the effective simple visual language.

Thank you for permitting click-and-hold rather than spam click; I almost gave up before I realized that was working. Red is still an uncomfortably long time to hold a button for me at some of the higher orders.

One other bit of momentary confusion: the first thing you are presented to click is the black tome, which causes an animation but no effect. This might cause players to think the game is broken or they are doing something wrong. If the game loaded on the black generator page, while it would less immediately convey the shape of the game, it would give you a button to click that not only does something but gives progress. The left-arrow would be there to tempt you to explore in that direction eventually.

Cool concept, but could be better if the speed upgrades were given earlier. Gave up after getting one red octagon for the last design, way too slow.
